Associated beneficiaries and collaborators

sensibilizacionThree associated beneficiaries are involved in the LIFE+ INFONATUR 2000 project, as well as the General Directorate of the Environment of the Regional Government of Extremadura, united by a common goal, that of publicizing the Natura 2000 Network and its benefits and facilitating the sustainable socio-economic development of these places, with special emphasis on the tourist sector and the traditional activities which have made the conservation of these areas possible.

The associated beneficiaries of the project are:

  • Agencia EFE, S.A.
  • Lleida Provincial Council
  • Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board

We should highlight the participation of the General Directorate for Environmental Quality and Evaluation and the Natural Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment as an institution co-funding the project.

Finally, the following institutions provide their invaluable collaboration in the project:

  • General Directorate of Tourism. Junta (Regional Government) of Extremadura.
  • Secretariat of State for Tourism of the MINETUR.
  • Spanish Committee of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

The involvement of beneficiaries, partners and co-funders highlights the need for joint participation between the administrations and industry to address society's patent lack of knowledge of the Natura 2000 Network and to facilitate the implementation of this European network of protected areas.
